查干湖在蒙古语中叫查干淖尔，意为白色的湖，水域总面积420平方公里，是吉林省最大的内陆湖泊和自然保护区，也是吉林省著名的渔业和苇业生产基地。 湖水幽深、雁阵凌空、草原碧绿、牧羊成群是她如诗的画卷； 妙因古刹、敖包耸立、哈达传情、奶酒飘香是她古朴的东蒙风情； 泡沼密布、草碧花鲜、鸭雁栖集、渔歌唱晚是她特有的自然景观； 王爷府邸、塔虎重镇、满蒙文碑、孝庄祖陵是她千年的文化底蕴；

而以一网捕鱼42万斤创造世界纪录的查干湖冬捕，更以其原始渔猎部落文化的积淀而成为查干湖构建吉林省生态旅游龙型框架的点睛之笔。 春登鸿鹄楼观湖赏景， 夏游圣水湖清爽宜人， 秋品历史感动心灵， 冬赏冰上捕鱼世界之最。查干湖四季皆有景，四季都是情！ “登眺临空倦眼舒，晴波映日荡银珠”，诗人登鸿鹄楼观景时真切的感受是否也打动了您的心怀？ 鸿鹄楼位于查干湖东南岸湖畔鸿鹄公园的最高点，楼体高37.05米，游人可站立的最高点距地面33米。凭栏远眺：漠漠大湖烟波浩淼、如茵绿草水天一色，令人心旷神怡、胸襟豁达。有人常以“鸿鹄之志”来表达其志向高远，此楼冠名鸿鹄楼就是寄希望登此楼者高瞻远瞩，鸿图大展。

随着电视剧《圣水湖畔》的播出查干湖更是声名远播，查干湖旅游业蓬勃发展，鸿鹄公园也适时重新装修扩建。步入公园，偌大的中心广场以蒙古族传统的吉祥图案蔓草作为装饰，沿着甬道踽踽而行，蒙古族勒勒车轮的印记仿佛讲述着远古沧桑的变迁。为了纪念蒙古族的先辈英雄，公园内四角仿清代承德避暑山庄皇家园林建筑风格分别修建了四座凉亭。

位于东北角采用双檐六角建筑风格修建的阿阑豁阿亭是为了纪念成吉思汗“黄金家族”“三贤圣母”之一的阿阑豁阿，她不仅缔造了伟大的蒙古，也缔造的尼伦氏族和孛儿只斤家族，凉亭内组画内容以金龙盘玉凤的传统图案为主，整体金碧辉煌；位于西北角采用六角建筑风格修建的天骄祭湖亭，则在组画中再现了“一代天骄”成吉思汗率群臣子民祭祀湖神的神圣宗教场景；位于东南角和西南角的捺钵亭和天缘亭，均采用四角建筑风格，捺钵亭内的组画展现着历代君王在查干湖畔大摆头鱼宴、头鹅宴的恢宏场景；天缘亭内的组画则以细腻的笔法描绘出百里大湖烟波浩淼，水鸟翩飞、鱼翔浅底、山水交融的自然风光，整个鸿 鹄公园气势宏大、蕴涵深厚、人文与自然和谐相融。

成吉思汗，我国历史上元朝的开创者，蒙古国的缔造者，从少年英雄成长为统一蒙古部落、统一全中国、横扫欧亚大陆的一代天骄，他的一生写满了丰功伟绩，成吉思汗召正是为了纪念这位蒙古英雄而建。 位于查干湖畔妙因寺后的成吉思汗召占地13公顷，建筑面积2225平方米，为蒙藏结合式二层建筑。步入大殿一层，首先了解的是历史文物、民风民俗和自然资源，看到查干湖畔的青山头人集体采果捕猎，看到成吉思汗曾经佩戴过的宝剑和征战长袍铠甲，想到今天古朴敦厚的成吉思汗召，对沧海变迁的崇敬之情油然而生。走进大殿二层，成吉思汗青铜雕像就矗立在中央位置，看着这位弯弓射雕的蒙古英雄，心中不禁肃然起敬，雕像两侧的彩画栩栩如生讲述着这位英雄征金国、灭西夏、统一中原、横扫欧亚大陆的赫赫战绩和戎马一生。

走进山门进入铁蹄广场视野豁然开朗，位于广场中间位置的是一尊主雕塑----“三贤圣母”阿阑豁阿和五个孩子的雕像，慈祥的神情传达着一种深深的母爱之情，在甬道的圆坛处，成吉思汗策马扬鞭的威武身姿赫然进入眼帘。在向前走就是主体建筑，它的右侧按照蒙古族传统习俗建有苏鲁锭祭坛，祭坛前面摆放着成吉思汗当年征战的战车，站车旁边建有成吉思汗的宫殿，宫殿雄伟辉煌，殿内以实物、雕塑、绘画、图片文字等多种表现形式再现了当年成吉思汗在金顶大账中与群臣议事的场景；它的左侧塑有象征蒙古族起源的苍狼白鹿雕像，看着栩栩如生的表情，一种神秘崇敬的感觉自心底悄然而生。在成吉思汗召院内还分别按照当年蒙元时期四大汗国的疆域设计有四大区块，分别称之为金账汗国、察合台汗国、窝阔台汗国和伊利汗国，在各疆域中分别塑有成吉思汗四个儿子的仿青铜雕像。同时，在召内还建有当年成吉思汗征战过的孛儿罕山、贝加尔湖、里海等微缩景观，从各个不同角度和不同历史时期详细展现了蒙古英雄成吉思汗传奇的一生。提到传奇，不能不到妙因寺千佛殿一游。 妙因寺前是民族风味小吃街和民族风情街，走在这条小街上，蒙古民族特有的韵味与风情扑面而来，品尝一串新鲜的烤湖鱼，再喝一碗草原风味的纯羊汤，怎是一个“鲜”字能解其中味？穿上鲜艳的蒙古族服饰，再带上蒙古族姑娘出嫁时才戴的头饰，地道的蒙古族长靴搭配上去，一个极具蒙古风情漂亮姑娘就出现在你的面前，纯朴清新的气息让人久久难忘；再来看看特色的纪念品，有刻着蒙古图腾的蒙古刀、玉制的鼻烟壶、盛装奶制品的手工木桶、精致的银制酒碗、酒壶等酒具……

千佛殿是东北最大、最高的一座大殿。它采用藏汉结合式建筑，共三层高24米。大殿前有28步台阶，在转经道上设有108个转经筒，棕色的边玛墙上镶嵌着39面铜镜，殿面阔11间，进深11间。殿内中央供奉金漆木雕立佛，高18米，宽13米，为千手千眼观世音菩萨。菩萨双手合十，左右各20只手，手中持法器，每只手掌心有一只眼睛，千手表示护持众生，千眼表示观望世间，是目前我国东北殿内第一立佛。 时光变迁，多少历史都消失在岁月更迭交替之中，然而查干湖冬捕的渔猎文化却经过数千年历史沧桑沿袭下来，正是这传统而独具特色的查干湖冬捕“祭湖醒网仪式”使查干湖之冬与众不同，别具神秘色彩。 “观北国草原冰雕雪塑美景，赏查干圣湖原始冬捕奇观” 成为人们最喜欢的旅游项目。冰面上一串串冬捕的爬犁往来穿梭，高亢激越的拉网号子驱散了严冬的寒冷，特别是那一网捕出几万斤、十几万斤鲜鱼、被誉为世界奇观的查干湖冬网捕鱼，沉甸甸的大网拉出了鳞光耀眼的鲜鱼，也拉出了绚丽的希冀，构画出冬日查干湖的壮观景象……
